Our Next Meeting: March 30, 2018 @ 3:00 in Heroy 153 DataFest Wrap Up! We'll also go over processing big data in R! Additionally, we will continue to plan future events, in particular DataFest! DataFest: April 6-8 (location TBA) Southern Methodist University will be hosting the first ever Texas edition of DataFest! If you are interested in being involved, either as a participant, judge, advisor, or sponsor, see the DataFest website.

  • Discussed the latest news about Data Fest and the plans for the semester.
  • Got a report from our officers about getting the club chartered.
  • There was an interactive example, courtesy of Bivin Sadler, on an "Introduction to ggplot in R". This example culminated in an R Shiny App comparing base R graphics with ggplot
